Long
Island Diving Association (LIDA)
Annual Film Festival
Long Island Diving Association (LIDA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness of the sport of scuba diving in and around Long Island, act as a communication liaison between divers and government to promote and protect divers’ interests and to help protect and preserve our marine environment.
This year's LIDA Film Festival will once again be held at the beautiful Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City. It will take place on FRIDAY NIGHT, NOVEMBER 9, 2007 from 8 PM sharp to 12 Midnight. Once again, LIDA was able to keep the cost to just $25 per person for LIDA members, $30 for non-members. As you know, the Festival has sold out for the last several years with many who wanted tickets being unfortunately unable to attend. They expect the same this year.
Following the presentations will be a catered Festival Party including unlimited food, beer, wine, soft drinks and a DJ on the fabulous Skywalk of the Museum, overlooking numerous incredible exhibits detailing the history of aviation from the Wright Brothers to planetary exploration. Attendance is STRICTLY LIMITED to a total of 300, including LIDA staff and presenters, due to the capacity of the IMAX Theatre.
